Failing matric is not the end of the road…

The first thing you need to do is get over the shock – remember many others are in the same boat, you are not the first and most certainly won’t be the last.
Now you need to establish why you failed. And here you need to be perfectly honest. Did you really study hard enough? Did you actively participate in all classes? Did you underestimate the exams? Thought it was going to be easy?

Remember you are in charge of your own life, but keep in mind that life is not easy, but you have options:

  • You can apply to have your papers remarked – only recommended if you are totally convinced you did better than the mark you got!
  • Depending on how many subjects you failed you may be able to write a supplementary – your results letter will let you know if you qualify for this. DEADLINE is key here, if you miss the date for registration for supps there are no extensions.
  • Sometimes the best option is to re-do your matric – Having a good matric will open more doors for you. UniHigh offers you this opportunity.
